Antico Borgo Country House & Ristorante Arcevia
Located between the sea (25 km from Senigallia) and the mountains, Antico Borgo is born among the hills and countryside of the Marche, a few steps from Castiglioni (www.castiglionidiarcevia.it), one of the castles Arcevia. The building dates back in part to the fourteenth century. According to some experts and historians, the old part of the structure (ex tower) served as a lookout between the various castles in the area. The property has been completely renovated in 2010 and consists of 6 rooms and suites of "House" where the combination of stone, wood, ceramics and furniture of different styles, creating a modern comfort. The restaurant with 40 seats, is the result of a passion for the kitchen of the owners of Italian origin, but born abroad and have traveled a lot, so theirs is a cuisine experience, which combines the traditions of both local products and foreign herbs and spices from all over the world with the use of new techniques for cooking food. The menu is primarily focused on the meat of any kind with the particularity to vary each week thanks to the owner of the Chef. The restaurant also boasts a well-stocked wine cellar offers a great wine list and beer with a wide range of Belgian beers. The property also has a large park, a modern swimming pool surrounded by exotic plants and a playground. A collaboration with the association of sports Castiglioni, allows the use of a room for meetings and parties located in the Old Mill, beautifully restored, which is 200 m in the center of the castle. Our facility also has agreements with health clubs and spas located nearby. Tennis Court at 500 m.

You will find great lovely decorated rooms. We stayed at the deluxe suite because it was our wedding/honeymoon. The suite has 3 room: the bedroom, a sitting area and a spacious bathroom with rainshower, bath, toilet and all the space you need. Everthing is very clean and topped up on a daily base. Prices for the mini bar are cheap. The air conditioning is a must and works flawless in a quiet manner. We slept like kings. So far for the hotel. What makes this place so perfect are the owners, Fabrizio and Samira. I first wanted to work with a wedding planner and had just booked the hotel with the request if they would do something extra for newly weds. 1 hour later Fabrizio called me in Belgium, telling me he was delighted we would get married in Italy and if he could help. Then the magic started. I quickly felt confident and handed over the organisation to Fabrizio and Samira, and boy, that was a good decission. These days it's hard to find people who try to please as much as they do.Not only he felt perfectly what we would like, he also kept every promise or arrangement. They booked everything; from the hairdresser, the flowers over the decoration. The reception was a feast with lovely fingerfood and everybody is still talking about the wedding dinner. Haute cuisine with delicious wines.I've traveled a lot and we always look for the best restaurants, but Antico Borge is THE hidden gem, and all of this at an unbelievable price (in the good way).So if you are still on the fence to go to Antico Borgo or want to get married in Italy.Don't look any further, I'm sure you won't regret.

We hebben hier een fantastische tijd beleeft! Samira & Fabrizio hebben ons super hartelijk onthaald, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. Het eten was SUPER lekker en de ruimtes waren helemaal in orde. Voor de trouw van onze vrienden ter plaatse was alles tot in de puntjes geregeld en verliep alles op wieltjes! Iedereen liep op wolkjes! Wij genieten nog na van dit heerlijk verblijf in Italië. Bedankt F&S!!

“What a great kitchen !!”
We stayed for 4 nights at this wonderful small hotel. The location is great - very remote and relaxing - but just about 30 minutes from the sea and in the middle of the white wine area of Marche.
Our suite was nice and tasteful with a very cosy bathroom. Outside is a little patio to enjoy the sun in the afternoon. Also there is a pool and a sundeck with fantastic views over the hills of Marche.
The owners - Samira and Fabrizio - are great; always friendly and very helpful; really nice hosts!
But the best of all is the food, offered a la carte or halfboard. Fabrizio is a great chef and his restaurant, being in a bigger city like Firenze, Rome or Milano, would easily earn at least 1 Michelin Star ....
Thanks for a unique stay. We will be back!
